MARRIOTT INTERNATIONAL ANNOUNCES DELTA HOTELS AND RESORTS’ EXPANSION INTO US

Bethesda, Md., October 2015 – Marriott International, Inc. (NASDAQ: MAR) announced this week the upcoming opening of the Delta Orlando Lake Buena Vista in December 2015. This will be Delta Hotels and Resorts first branded resort in the United States, and pursuant to a franchise agreement with JHM Hotels.

In April 2015, Marriott International, Inc. acquired the Delta Hotels and Resorts management and franchise business from Delta Hotels Limited Partnership, a subsidiary of British Columbia Investment Management Corporation (bcIMC). The brand brings a rich history and an exciting range of properties to the Marriott portfolio and currently consists of 37 hotels and nearly 10,000 rooms.

The new U.S. resort is minutes from local Orlando attractions and will offer a fresh approach to the guest experience including intuitive designs for modern business and leisure travelers, and an innovative use of technology. It will feature 241 spacious guestrooms, a resort-style swimming pool complete with a kid’s splash zone featuring a pirate ship, kid’s activity room, fitness center, complimentary Wi-Fi, onsite parking and an eatery D Flats. As a member of the Disney Good Neighbor Hotel program, the resort will offer transportation to and from local attractions, including all of the Disney theme parks. .
